Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

• 08:00 AM: Pick up from your Kigali hotel or Kigali International Airport by your safari driver-guide.
• 08:30 AM: Enjoy a brief overview of your journey before taking a scenic drive through Rwanda's rolling green hills toward the Cyanika or Katuna border post.
• 11:00 AM: Complete immigration clearance at the border and cross into southwestern Uganda.
• 01:30 PM: Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Forest, check in, and enjoy a warm lunch overlooking the ancient canopy.
• 04:00 PM: Afternoon at leisure—relax on your private balcony or enjoy a guided nature walk through the surrounding village.
• 07:00 PM: Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

 Day 2: The Ultimate Gorilla Trekking Experience

• 06:00 AM: Early morning breakfast at the lodge to fuel up for the hike.
• 07:00 AM: Transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) park sector headquarters for briefing on park etiquette and safety guidelines.
• 08:00 AM: Divided into small groups of a maximum of 8 people, head into the dense rainforest accompanied by armed rangers and expert trackers.
• 08:30 AM – 01:00 PM: Trek through bamboo thickets and lush slopes in search of your assigned habituated gorilla family (trek duration ranges between 2 and 6 hours depending on gorilla movements).
• The Magical Hour: Spend 1 full hour observing the silverback, females, and playful juveniles as they feed and interact.
• 02:00 PM: Return to the base camp to receive your official Gorilla Trekking Certificate, then transfer back to your lodge for lunch and rest.
• 04:30 PM: Optional cultural visit to meet the local Batwa community and learn about their traditional rainforest heritage.
• 07:30 PM: Dinner and celebratory evening at your lodge.

Day 3: Bwindi Forest to Kigali City & Departure

• 08:00 AM: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast amid the morning forest fog before checking out.
• 09:00 AM: Begin your scenic drive back across the border toward Kigali, Rwanda.
• 01:00 PM: Arrive in Kigali for a delicious local lunch at a recommended city restaurant.
• 02:30 PM: Optional brief Kigali City Tour (visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial or local craft markets).
