Overview

Step Back into the Royal Court of the Mwami Kingdom

Immerse yourself in the rich pre-colonial history and regal traditions of Rwanda with a guided tour of the King's Palace Museum in Nyanza. Once the heart of the Rwandan kingdom, Nyanza offers a captivating glimpse into royal court life, traditional architecture, and ancient folklore. Highlights include the magnificent, long-horned Inyambo cattle—celebrated for their elegance and trained to move in a ceremonial procession to the rhythm of traditional praise poetry.
